 England, a nation rich in history, has created some of the world’s best architecture and decorative arts. The Georgian Era (early 1700’s to the mid 1800’s) was so named for the successive Kings named George. The Georgian Era is notably remembered as marking the summit of house design in Great Britain. Its legacy lives in entire city squares of uniform, symmetrical London townhouses, their facades employing classical pilasters, pedimented doors and windows, and graceful moldings. It carries a sense of proportion and balance; simple mathematical ratios were used to determine window heights in relation to room widths and shapes, basing all design ratios on cube proportions.
Perrin & Rowe® used these influences to create the new Georgian Era line of faucets, tub fillers and showerheads. The Georgian Era was a time of understated elegance that conveyed perfect balance and order. Designs were stately. Classical and formal details were incorporated into every aspect of decorative elements throughout the design community during this period. We at ROHL take great pride in introducing this new collection of innovative products that capture the intricate, unique beauty of the Georgian Era.
Perrin & Rowe has been at the forefront of melding old world British charm with modern day technology in the luxury faucet and fixture realm. With this new collection, Perrin & Rowe takes their inspiration from another historically important time in design. As with our Edwardian Era Collection, the Georgian Era gives Perrin & Rowe yet another option to incorporate design characteristics from days gone by.
