This year Supply House Times proudly recognizes Castle Supply as 2005 Wholesaler of the Year. A superb choice, with dynamite veterans working for them, Castle Supply’s staff exhibits unparalleled dedication to the industry. The perfect example of a booming business, this wholesaler houses $15 million worth of inventory at their nine, soon to be ten, locations. Castle Supply’s business relies heavily upon home construction and renovation, along with some light commercial business. They operate six Galleria Bath and Kitchen Showplaces in the Tampa Bay area, and as it has been stated in Supply House Times recently, “You would be hard-pressed to find better ones (showplaces) anywhere in the industry.” One of the reasons these showrooms are so successful is that they have their faucets and fixtures displayed on a wall or in a lifestyle suite as opposed to only available for view in a catalog or on a computer screen. A hands-on approach works better than anything else to sell our products… their displays are certainly the best in the area.
“Take care of your people, and they will take care of you,” is the motto of Castle Supply, located in Pinellas Park, Florida. Those are words of Joe White, Chairman and Owner of Castle Supply, who often repeats this statement on a regular basis to his employees. Joe emphasizes that this is really the credo that has kept his business thriving since his parents started the company in the mid 1980’s as a very small wholesaler, competing against the big guns. “As time went on, it just became part of our culture to empower all of our people to satisfy the customer. We tell them, ‘act now, ask questions later,’” White states.
Chris Lynch, Director of Sales of Castle Supply’s Galleria Showrooms agrees giving customers a chance to actually see what they are purchasing is key and certainly frowns upon those showrooms that only have the option of getting customers to agree to a sale of a $1500 sink from a catalog or a computer screen.
Joe White’s parents always stressed the need to take care of the customers at all times and because of those simple words White has been able to compete and actually become a larger wholesaler mostly credited to customer satisfaction. They take care of their customers, they take care of their vendors, they take care of their employees… this is what is important to Castle Supply.
