The Opportunity – PR Account Executive
White Good & Co. Advertising, a leading niche Marketing Agency, is actively seeking a highly motivated Public Relations Account Executive who wants to join a fast paced agency. A position is currently available for a results-oriented individual who will focus directly on the tremendous opportunities in the high end furnishings and finishes Marcom space.
This Account Executive will be a key player and contribute to the overall success of Account Services and Business Development at White Good & Co. Advertising. We are looking for an aggressive, motivated, professional to handle our client’s communications needs. This person must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic selling abilities, and deep organizational qualities.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a daily link between the client, advertising agency, and media
- Writing press releases and other promotional materials
- Pitching stories to the media
- Setting up appointments
- Fielding media calls and monitoring press coverage
- Relationship building and networking with colleagues, clients and the media
- Working as part of an account team to develop client proposals and implement PR activities
- Preparing regular client reports and attending client meetings to assess the progress of PR activity
- Undertaking administrative tasks, writing reports, keeping records and financial details
- Handling the accounts of two to three clients
- Event management, including promotional events and media briefings
- Attending and promoting client events to the media
- Coordinating studio or location photography
- Undertaking research for new business proposals and presenting to potential new clients
- Managing the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation
- Responsibility for the project management of their clients' elements and day to day work, ensuring it is produced to meet deadlines, and on budget
- Coordinating the activities of the client, creative team and administrative staff
- Maintaining familiarity with and keeping up with the products, business culture, competition and services
- Meeting with clients and other agency staff on a regular basis
- Negotiating with clients and agency staff
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- 3+ years experience in PR
- Ability to work both as a team player and independently when necessary
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with deadlines and goals
- Marcom agency experience a plus
